KENYA SPENDS 41 MILLION PER HOUR ON COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Kenyans are forcefully quarantined at their own cost, tested at their own cost, treated at their own cost, mask at their own cost, emergency services at their own cost and still they have spent 40billion Kenya shillings on Corona!!!!

In the print edition of the Star today, it stated that the government had spent Sh40 billion fighting the coronavirus.
The correct position is that the Treasury has allocated Sh40.3 billion to manage Covid-19 but this money has not yet been disbursed. Treasury has however already disbursed Sh13 billion for SME support and payment of pending bills.
The Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Ukur Yatani, met the Select Committee on Budget and Appropriations on Wednesday.
The minister was clear that the funds were budgeted but not yet spent.

NAIROBI :WIFE BURNS HER TIPSY HUSBAND TO DEATH IN A CAR

According to an aye witness the car went up in flames, revealed that the tragic incident occurred at around 7 a.m., within the Mai Mahiu Court in the Nairobi estate. "I ran outside with a blanket (to help in putting out the fire) on hearing that there was someone trapped inside a car that was on fire, sadly, the car blew up before I even made it out of my gate," "We still don't know the events that led up to the sad incident. The firemen who came to the scene were also puzzled," he narrated. According to the witness, it is not yet clear whether there were incendiary devices within the car that resulted in the fire, as the entire interior of the car was burnt to a crisp. SONKO PURCHASED KSH.498.5 MILLION UPPER HILL OFFICE BEFORE VYING FOR GOVERNOR

Governor Sonko with documents in a previous event Governor Sonko is the legal purchaser of the property - LR. 209\6507 his current private office at Upper Hill  - owned by the Kenya Railways Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme. Sonko entered an agreement with the scheme’s trustees to purchase two portions of the land for Sh498.5 million on April 30, 2019 and that he paid a deposit of Sh144.6 million in accordance with the contract. The purchase happened after three tendering processes between 2017 and 2019.
